Finding Biographical Books in the Library Catalog

Find biographical books and ebooks on your research topic by searching the Library Catalog using an appropriate Library of Congress Subject Heading (search LCSHs). You can also try adding the term biography as a subdivision at the end of your subject heading string.

Example: Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt, d. 30 B.C. or Queens -- Egypt -- Biography.

When searching the catalog using keywords, simply add the term biography into your search statement.

Example: Alexander Hamilton biography.

Note: Daemen's catalog search not only searches records of items held at Daemen, but also through the catalog records of other institutions.
