Before becoming a librarian, Melissa came to Buffalo as a graduate student at the University of Buffalo earning Master’s degrees in Sociology and Women’s Studies and working at the Research Institute on Addictions. It’s the love of research that inspired Melissa to become a librarian in 2003.
When not at work, Melissa can be found in the produce aisle at Wegmans. She spends much time accompanying her daughter to horse shows and dog agility trials. Melissa has a very architecturally creative son and a musically creative husband, each of whom spend a great deal of time in their respective studios.
