The MacArthur Fellowship
The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation is a private foundation that supports people, institutions, and networks that are striving to improve the world. They make grants to support these people and organizations in around 50 countries internationally. The MacArthur Fellows Program, also known as the "genius award", is one of those grants, which annually awards $625,000 to around two dozen individuals "who have shown extraordinary originality and dedication in their creative pursuits".
