What is Interlibrary Loan?
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service that allows you to request materials that aren't available at Daemen College Library. Faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students are eligible to use the service. Our Tipasa ILL system is tied to your Library Account, which uses Daemen OneLogin credentials. See our ILL FAQ for more details.
Interlibrary Loan will try to obtain books, articles, and other items that are not owned by the Daemen College Library from other libraries.
Textbooks, Dissertations/Theses, and current year titles are often NOT available through interlibrary loan.
Electronic article requests are usually fulfilled within 1-2 days. Physical books usually arrive in 2-7 business days.
Notifications are sent by email when ILL materials are ready for viewing/pickup.
The lending library determines the loan period and renewal policy for its materials. In most cases, the loan period is four weeks.
Renewals are at the discretion of the lending institution. Submit your renewal request via Tipasa before the due date. You will receive an email letting you know if the item is able to be renewed. If the item is not renewed, the original due date stands.
Please return all materials by the due date directly to the Library Service Desk.
