How to Access PubMed via Daemen Library

by Justin Dise on 2020-03-11T15:58:00-04:00 | 0 Comments

Daemen Library now has its own custom PubMed URL. PubMed comprises more than 30 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. Many citations include links to full-text content from PubMed Central and other open-access providers, as well as the numerous journals to which Daemen subscribes.

Using the custom URL will add a "find article @ Daemen" button on the right-hand column of all item pages in PubMed. See screenshot below:

Click this button to search all Daemen Library resources for the full-text article. If the Library has access to the article through any of our database and journal subscriptions, you'll be redirected you to where you can view the article. If not, you'll be taken to a pre-populated interlibrary loan request form.

With the addition of the Daemen catalog search button, library staff considers PubMed to be one of the best ways for faculty and students to access articles in the health sciences quickly. The most important thing to remember with PubMed is that you should always access it through Daemen Library's unique link, listed below (and found on our A-Z Databases page).
